Closet AI Stylist Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Closet AI Stylist ("Closet", "the app", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares and protects the personal data of people who use the Closet mobile application.
Closet is a virtual wardrobe, outfit recommendation and AI-assisted visual try-on application. To provide the service, the app may process account data, profile data, photographs, garments, preferences, in-app history and technical data needed to operate the service securely.
Please read this Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the processing described here, you should not use the app.

2. Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to the use of Closet on iOS, Android, beta versions distributed through TestFlight or other testing channels, and any connected service that is part of the app experience.
This Policy does not cover third-party websites, applications or services that may have their own privacy policies, even if they integrate with Closet, such as authentication, storage, infrastructure, automated processing or app store services.
3. Minimum age
Closet is intended for people over 16 years old. As part of onboarding we may ask for your date of birth to complete your profile and support age-related eligibility rules.
We do not knowingly want to collect personal data from people under 16. If you believe that a minor has created an account or sent us personal data, write to us at admin@ai-closet.com so we can review the case and take appropriate measures.
4. Data we may collect
The data we collect depends on how you use Closet. Some features are optional, but if you choose not to provide certain data, some features may be unavailable or may not work correctly.
4.1. Account and authentication data
We may process:
- Email address.
- User identifier.
- Session tokens and refresh tokens.
- Login status.
- Dates or signals associated with account access.
- Information needed to log out or delete the account.
Passwords are managed by the authentication provider and we do not need to access them in plain text.
4.2. Profile and onboarding data
During initial setup and use of the app, we may request or generate:
- First name.
- Last name.
- Alias or display name.
- Gender indicated by the user.
- Date of birth.
- Country.
- Province, region or city indicated by the user.
- Onboarding completion status and date.
- Initial setup preferences.
We use this data to personalize the experience, prepare recommendations and display your profile inside the app.
4.3. Measurements and sizes
The app may allow you to save measurements or sizes, for example:
- Shirt or upper-body size.
- Pants size.
- Jacket size.
- Shoe size.
- Later updates to those sizes.
This data is used to improve recommendations, create more useful outfits and personalize the virtual wardrobe experience.
4.4. Photographs and personal images
Closet may process images that you choose to upload or capture, including:
- Profile or face photo.
- Full-body photo or personal model.
- Avatars or predefined models you select.
- Additional photographs used as a model for the visual experience.
- Images generated or processed from your photos.
- File name, internal URL, technical metadata and derived data needed to store, display or process the image.
Face or body photos may reveal sensitive information about your appearance. We process them with special care and only for the purposes described in this Policy.
Closet does not use your photos to identify you biometrically, verify your legal identity or create biometric templates for unique identification.
4.5. Garment photographs and wardrobe data
When you add clothing to your wardrobe, we may process:
- Garment photos taken with the camera.
- Photos selected from the gallery.
- Garments added from collections or examples in the app.
- Garment category, for example top, bottom, coat, accessory or footwear.
- Colors, tags, descriptions, status, metadata and other garment attributes.
- Favorite marks.
- Creation, update, use or last-used dates, when available.
- Data derived from automatic analysis, for example dominant colors, estimated category or descriptive tags.
This data forms your virtual wardrobe and allows you to search, filter, edit, recommend and combine garments.
4.6. Outfits, recommendations, history and preferences
We may process data related to outfits and functional app usage, including:
- Outfits suggested or generated by the app.
- Generated outfit images.
- Garments linked to each outfit.
- Descriptions, tags and metadata.
- "Like", "dislike", acceptance, rejection or save actions.
- Outfits marked as worn and the dates of those actions.
- History by day, month or list.
- Selected language, theme, tutorial status, searches, filters and outfit-building preferences.
- Gamification data such as level, streak, achievements and progress, if that feature is active.
This data is used to show recommendations, build history, remember your preferences and improve the usefulness of future suggestions within the app.
4.7. Technical, security and performance data
When you use Closet, our systems or providers may process:
- IP address.
- Date and time of requests.
- App version.
- Operating system and platform, for example iOS, Android or web.
- Technical session identifiers.
- Error logs.
- Information about crashes, latency or service availability.
- Endpoint or function requested.
- Security signals needed to prevent abuse, fraud or unauthorized access.
This data helps us operate the app, maintain security, diagnose errors and improve performance.
4.8. TestFlight, App Store and app store data
If you use a beta version through TestFlight or install Closet from an app store, Apple, Google or other platform operators may process installation data, diagnostics, crash reports, tester feedback, attached screenshots, device, operating system and activity related to app distribution.
That processing is also governed by the privacy policies of the corresponding platform.
5. Device permissions
Closet may request operating system permissions. You can accept, reject or change them from your device settings.
5.1. Camera
We use the camera permission to let you take photos of garments, face, body or images needed to set up your profile and wardrobe.
5.2. Photo library
We use the photo library permission so you can select garment, profile or model images from your gallery.
5.3. Saving or accessing media
On some platforms we may request permissions related to saving or accessing images to enable photo upload, selection or management features.
5.4. Tracking and advertising on iOS
The current iOS version of Closet does not use third-party advertising SDKs for tracking and does not request App Tracking Transparency for advertising purposes.
If monetization or measurement features change in the future, we will update this Policy before enabling them.
6. How we use your data
We process your data for the following purposes:
6.1. Creating and managing your account
This includes logging in, keeping the session active, refreshing tokens, logging out, authenticating requests, recovering user status and deleting the account when you request it.
6.2. Setting up your profile
We use onboarding data, alias, location provided by you, date of birth, gender, photos and measurements to create a personalized experience and prepare Closet's main features.
6.3. Creating and maintaining your virtual wardrobe
We use garment photos and metadata to store your wardrobe, show the grid, allow searches, filters, favorites, editing, deletion and detail navigation.
6.4. Generating recommendations and outfits
We use your garments, photos, measurements, preferences and actions inside the app to suggest outfits, generate combinations, calculate color harmony, enable visual try-on and show adapted content.
6.5. Managing history and gamification
We use your save or wear actions to create history and, when that feature is active, to show progress, achievements and streaks.
6.6. Improving the app and diagnosing problems
We use technical data, errors and performance metrics to detect issues, improve stability, reduce loading times and debug problems.
6.7. Security and abuse prevention
We use technical and authentication data to prevent unauthorized access, fraud, API abuse, improper login attempts and uses contrary to our terms.
6.8. Legal compliance
We may process or retain certain data when necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to valid authority requests, defend claims or document privacy and security compliance.
7. Legal bases for processing
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland or another jurisdiction with similar rules, we process your data on the following legal bases:
7.1. Performance of a contract
We process data needed to offer Closet, create and maintain your account, manage your wardrobe, save preferences, generate outfits, show history and provide the features you request.
7.2. Consent
We process certain data or permissions based on your consent when required by law or the operating system, for example:
- Camera or gallery access.
- Use of optional photos for profile, model or garments.
You can withdraw your consent at any time from device settings, app options when available or by writing to us at admin@ai-closet.com.
7.3. Legitimate interest
We may process data based on our legitimate interest to:
- Maintain app security.
- Prevent fraud or abuse.
- Diagnose errors.
- Improve performance.
- Understand in aggregate how core features are used.
- Protect our rights.
When we rely on legitimate interest, we assess that this interest does not unduly override your rights and freedoms.
7.4. Legal obligation
We may process or retain data when necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to competent authorities or address privacy rights.
8. Artificial intelligence and automated decisions
Closet uses automated features and artificial intelligence to analyze garments, generate metadata, suggest combinations, create outfits, produce images or adapt recommendations.
These features may be based on:
- Garment photos.
- Profile or model photos you choose to provide.
- Measurements or sizes.
- Categories, colors and metadata.
- User preferences.
- "Like", "dislike", save or wear actions.
Closet recommendations are indicative and do not produce legal effects or similarly significant decisions about you. We do not use AI to approve credit, employment, insurance, health, legal identity or other high-impact areas.
Generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete or may not perfectly reflect your appearance, your garments or your preferences. You can correct garment metadata, delete images, change preferences or stop using optional features.
Unless expressly stated, we do not use your personal photos to train general AI models distributed to third parties. If in the future we wanted to use your data for that purpose, we would update this Policy and request the corresponding consent where necessary.
9. Particularly sensitive data
Some photos, measurements, appearance data, gender or information inferred from images may be considered sensitive or deserve enhanced protection depending on the context and applicable law.
Closet does not intend to infer health data, ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation, political ideology or any other special category of data. If an image you upload reveals sensitive information, we will process it only to provide the requested feature, protect it and let you manage or delete it.
We recommend that you do not upload images containing sensitive information about third parties, official documents, minors, medical data, nudity, intimate content or any content you do not want processed inside the app.
10. When we share data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only when necessary to provide the app, comply with the law or protect rights.
10.1. Infrastructure and backend providers
We may use backend, database, authentication, storage, hosting, CDN, monitoring or transactional email providers to operate Closet.
In the current version, the app uses Supabase for authentication and session management, and communicates with Closet's own API. Data sent to the API may be stored or processed in associated infrastructure services.
10.2. Image storage and processing
Profile, body, garment, model and outfit photos may be stored in cloud storage services and processed by internal systems or technical providers to generate metadata, thumbnails, recommendations or visual results.
10.3. AI or automated processing providers
When a feature requires image analysis or generation, we may send the necessary images, metadata or garments to AI or automated processing services that act as processors or technology providers.
These providers should process the data only according to our instructions and for the necessary purposes, unless their own terms state otherwise and the user is informed where applicable.
10.4. Distribution platforms
Apple, Google and other store operators may process data related to installation, beta distribution, TestFlight, diagnostics, crashes, feedback and compliance with platform policies.
10.5. Authorities and legal compliance
We may share information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a law, legal process or valid request from a competent authority, or to protect the rights, safety and integrity of users, Closet or third parties.
10.6. Corporate transactions
If Closet participates in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets or similar transaction, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, respecting applicable safeguards.
11. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than the country where you reside. Those countries may have different data protection laws.
Where required by law, we will apply appropriate mechanisms for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements, supplementary technical and organizational measures or other mechanisms allowed by law.
12. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless the law allows or requires a longer period.
In general:
- Account data: while the account is active and for the time necessary for security, compliance or claims.
- Profile, model and garment photos: while you keep them in the app or until you delete them, close the account or request erasure, except for temporary backups or legal obligations.
- Outfits, history, preferences and actions: while you use the app or until you delete the account or request applicable erasure.
- Session tokens: while needed to maintain the session and until logout, expiration or deletion.
- Local caches: until you log out, delete the app, clear device data or the app refreshes them.
- Technical events and logs: for the time reasonably necessary for security, debugging, auditing and service improvement.
When you delete the account from the app, we will begin deletion or anonymization of the associated data, except for data we must retain for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, temporary backups or defense of claims.
Backups may take a reasonable time to be overwritten or permanently deleted.
13. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or improper disclosure.
Among other measures, we may use:
- Token-based authentication.
- Secure token storage on the device when the platform allows it.
- Communication with APIs through secure connections.
- Access controls.
- User data separation.
- Security logs.
- Token cleanup when logging out or deleting the account.
- Limitation of internal access to personal data.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risks and respond to incidents appropriately.
If you suspect that your account has been compromised, change your password if the feature is available and contact admin@ai-closet.com.
14. Local storage on the device
Closet may save information on your device so the app works better, for example:
- Authentication session and tokens.
- Profile, wardrobe, feed, history or gamification cache.
- Language preference.
- Theme preference.
- Tutorial status.
- View, filter or navigation preferences.
On mobile devices, tokens are stored using secure mechanisms when available. Other data may be stored in the app's local storage.
You can delete some of this information by logging out, deleting the account, deleting the app or clearing application data from the operating system.
15. Your controls inside the app
Depending on the available features, you can:
- Change language.
- Change light, dark or automatic theme.
- Repeat the tutorial.
- Redo onboarding.
- Update profile photo.
- Delete profile photo.
- Manage model photos.
- Add or delete garments.
- Edit garment details.
- Mark or unmark favorites.
- Mark outfits as worn or remove wear entries.
- Log out.
- Delete account.
Some actions may remove data immediately from the app view, but final deletion from servers, logs or backups may take more time.
16. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data. In the European Union and Spain, these rights include:
16.1. Right of access
You can ask for confirmation of whether we process your data and request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
16.2. Right to rectification
You can ask us to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
16.3. Right to erasure
You can ask us to delete your data when it is no longer necessary, when you withdraw your consent, object to processing or when another legal basis for erasure exists.
16.4. Right to object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interest or to processing for direct marketing purposes.
16.5. Right to restriction of processing
You can ask us to restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances, for example while we verify the accuracy of data or resolve an objection.
16.6. Right to portability
You can request to receive the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format when processing is based on consent or contract and is automated.
16.7. Right to withdraw consent
When we process data based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
16.8. Right not to be subject to high-impact automated decisions
You may have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you. Closet does not use this type of decision for high-impact purposes.
16.9. Right to lodge a complaint with an authority
If you are in Spain, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). If you are in another country, you can contact your local data protection authority.
17. How to exercise your rights
To exercise your rights, write to us at admin@ai-closet.com and indicate:
- Your name or alias.
- The email associated with your account.
- The right you want to exercise.
- Enough information to identify your request.
We may request additional information to verify your identity before responding to the request.
We will respond within the deadlines required by applicable law. In the European Union, we will normally respond within one month, except for complex or numerous requests, in which case we may extend the period as allowed by law.
Exercising rights is usually free, except for manifestly unfounded, excessive or repeated requests, in which case the law may allow us to charge a reasonable cost or reject the request.
18. Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account from the app, if the feature is available, or by writing to admin@ai-closet.com.
When deleting the account:
- We will close your session.
- We will delete or anonymize data associated with your account where possible.
- We will delete or unlink associated photos, garments, profiles, outfits and history, except for legal or technical exceptions.
- We may retain minimal records for security, compliance, fraud prevention, defense of claims or documentation of the request.
Deletion may not immediately remove data retained by third parties under their own policies, for example app stores, TestFlight, Google, Apple or providers acting as independent controllers.
19. Communications
We may send you service-related communications, for example:
- Security notices.
- Important app changes.
- Transactional or administrative messages.
- Responses to support or privacy requests.
Currently, Closet does not rely on commercial email communications as a main feature. If we send direct marketing in the future, we will offer the corresponding consent or objection mechanisms.
20. Third-party content and other people's data
You must not upload photos, garments, images or information about another person without permission. If an image includes third parties, you are responsible for having sufficient authorization to use it in Closet.
You must not upload:
- Images of minors.
- Identity documents.
- Financial information.
- Medical data.
- Nudity or intimate content.
- Images that violate third-party rights.
- Illegal, offensive or unauthorized content.
We may remove content or restrict accounts if we detect misuse.
21. Beta, testing and feedback
If you use a beta version of Closet, we may receive feedback, error reports, screenshots, recordings or comments that you choose to send.
That feedback may contain personal data if you include it voluntarily. We recommend that you do not send sensitive information in testing comments. We will use feedback to fix errors, improve the app and prepare public versions.
22. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical or functional changes.
When changes are relevant, we may notify you inside the app, by email, through the app store or by other appropriate means. The "Last updated" date will indicate the current version.
If you continue using Closet after the changes become effective, we will understand that you accept the updated Policy to the extent permitted by law. If a change requires your consent, we will request it separately.

24. Practical summary
Closet needs certain data to work: account, profile, photos, garments, measurements, preferences, outfits, history and technical operating data. We use this data to build your virtual wardrobe, generate recommendations, show your profile, save your preferences, operate the app securely and provide the AI features you request.
The current version of the app does not use advertising identifiers for tracking, does not request App Tracking Transparency for advertising purposes and does not include third-party advertising SDKs in the published iOS build.
